Mitra Adiperkasa (MAP) Group's subsidiary, PT Map Boga Adiperkasa Tbk. (MAPB), has announced the resignation of a board member. Anthony Cottan, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), has stepped down from his position in the company that oversees Starbucks operations.

MAPB received Cottan's resignation letter on February 27, 2024, and it became effective immediately.

"The company has received the resignation letter from Mr. Anthony Cottan from his position as the CEO of the company, effective from the date of his resignation letter," said MAPB's Corporate Secretary, Liryawati, in a disclosure on Friday (1/3/2024).

"The essence of the leadership team is Anthony Cottan," as stated on MAPB's official website.

Cottan is credited with playing a significant role in leading the national growth of MAPB.

"Under Mr. Cottan's leadership, the company's food and beverage brands have been recognized as industry benchmarks in Indonesia."

Prior to this role, he served as the Food Division Director at PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk. (MAPI), the parent entity of MAPB, from 2001 to 2016.

Before joining MAPB, Cottan served as the General Manager at Club Corporation Asia from 1989 to 2001, overseeing several ASEAN countries during his 12-year tenure.

He was born in Portsmouth, England, in 1964. Cottan graduated from Southdowns Hotel School in 1984 and obtained an MBA from Oxford Brookes University, England, in 2015.

As known, MAPI is the parent company of the Starbucks brand operator in Indonesia through its subsidiary, PT MAP Boga Adiperkasa Tbk. (MAPB). MAPB was established in June 2016 to consolidate four of MAPI's previous subsidiaries, namely PT Sari Coffee Indonesia (operator of Starbucks Indonesia), PT Sari Pizza Indonesia (operator of Pizza Marzano and Pizza Express), PT Sari IceCream Indonesia (operator of Cold Stone and Godiva), and PT Premier Doughnut Indonesia (operator of Krispy Kreme).
